As we begin this New Year, we need to reflect on all that God has done for us this past year. We need to ask ourselves, Have we expressed our gratitude to Him for all the ways that He has blessed us and helped us? Remember the 10 lepers who were healed by Jesus and only one came back to thank Him. Let's make it our New Year's resolution to be more thankful in the coming year!
"Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Phil. 4:6
"Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe." Heb. 12:28 ESV
We need to let our family and friends know how much we love them and how grateful we are for them as well. Let them know how much you care for them since we don't know what the day will bring.
For some it is time to put decorations away and clean up from Holiday fun. A time to let go of the past and a time to look toward the future.
A friend was telling me that she was putting away her Christmas decorations with her young grandson and when she got to the manger with Jesus in it, he said, Grandma I don't want you to put Jesus in the closet because I love Him. Let's not put Jesus in the closet just because Christmas is over - Let's keep Him in our lives all year long!
May this be the most blessed year yet! "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Eph. 5:16 " Happy New Year to all!
